Prediction markets currently favor Bad Bunny to become Google's most searched person of 2026. Donald Trump follows closely, while Erling Haaland, Taylor Swift and Elon Musk remain available at longer prices.

The market and the available search data tell different stories. Bad Bunny benefits from major first-half events, including the Super Bowl halftime show and an international stadium tour. Donald Trump, however, produces high search interest every day through the presidency, foreign policy, the economy, immigration, tariffs and the November midterm elections.

Our Ahrefs keyword research also places Trump well ahead of every other featured name in estimated monthly U.S. search volume. Google Trends shows the same pattern over the past year, with Trump maintaining a much higher average level of search interest than the other four candidates.

Most Searched Person Market Snapshot

Bad Bunny 16%
Donald Trump 13%
Taylor Swift 7%
Erling Haaland 7%

Elon Musk trades near 5%, while several other names remain below 5%. The market shows approximately $634,760 in total volume. Prices and probabilities update continuously.

Search Volume, Google Trends and the Final Market Result Aren't Identical

Ahrefs estimates keyword search volume, while Google Trends measures relative interest on a normalized scale. Neither tool publishes the exact final answer for this market by itself.

Traders should review the complete market rules before buying contracts. The research below helps compare current visibility and likely future search events, but the official settlement source controls the final result.

What a $100 Yes Prediction Can Pay

The current order panels show very different potential payouts because each person has a different Yes price. Lower-priced contracts return more when the prediction is correct, but they also reflect a lower probability in the live market.

Person Current Yes Price Amount Entered Maximum Payout Amount Above $100
Bad Bunny 18¢ $100.00 $510.41 $410.41
Donald Trump 14¢ $100.00 $673.71 $573.71
Erling Haaland $100.00 $1,103.88 $1,003.88
Taylor Swift $100.00 $990.80 $890.80
Elon Musk $100.00 $1,776.64 $1,676.64

The maximum payout includes the original purchase amount. The amount above $100 is the difference before transaction fees. Prices, available quantities and payouts can change before checkout.

Current $100 Maximum Payouts

Bad Bunny $510.41
Donald Trump $673.71
Erling Haaland $1,103.88
Taylor Swift $990.80
Elon Musk $1,776.64

These values use the live prices shown in the screenshots with $100 entered on each Yes prediction.

Our Search Data Gives Donald Trump a Large Lead

Our Ahrefs keyword research estimates approximately 3.9 million monthly U.S. searches for Donald Trump. Taylor Swift follows at 2.9 million, Elon Musk at 1.8 million, Bad Bunny at 1.7 million and Erling Haaland at 187,000.

Name Estimated Monthly U.S. Search Volume Current Market Chance
Donald Trump3.9 million13%
Taylor Swift2.9 million7%
Elon Musk1.8 million5%
Bad Bunny1.7 million16%
Erling Haaland187,0007%

Google Trends also places Trump far ahead in average U.S. interest over the past year. Trends uses a relative scale rather than raw search totals, but the size and consistency of Trump's lead matters. He doesn't depend on one concert, sports event or album announcement to remain visible.

Why the Market and Search Tools Disagree

Prediction traders may place more weight on major one-time spikes and the specific way Google reports its year-end results. Our view places more weight on sustained daily interest, known events during the remaining months and the volume already visible in keyword research.

Why Bad Bunny Leads the Prediction Market

Bad Bunny has the best first-half event record among the leading entertainment names. His Super Bowl LX halftime performance creates a huge international search spike, and his Debí Tirar Más Fotos world tour keeps his name active across several continents through July.

Fans search for tickets, setlists, tour dates, concert footage, clothing, songs, translations and possible new music. His reach across the United States, Latin America and Europe gives him an audience that can produce major search activity in several languages.

The main concern is the remaining calendar. Live Nation currently lists no upcoming concerts after the tour finale. Another single, album, collaboration, award appearance or concert film can put him back at the center of global entertainment coverage, but those events aren't confirmed.

Why Donald Trump Has the Clearest Path to First Place

Donald Trump has the highest search floor because the presidency generates new questions every day. People search for his speeches, public schedule, policy announcements, rallies, approval rating, foreign meetings, court decisions and comments on current events.

The Iran conflict alone creates continuing searches about diplomacy, military operations, oil prices, casualties and the possibility of escalation. The Washington Post reports on Trump's movement back toward diplomacy during the conflict, while every major development can create another international search cycle.

The November midterms give Trump a guaranteed late-year event. AP reports that he is deeply involved in Republican primaries and campaign politics. Searches can increase around endorsements, rallies, House control, Senate control, election results and the political consequences of either a Republican hold or Democratic win.

Roll Call's Factba.se calendar also shows how active the presidential schedule remains. Trump's search advantage comes from frequency. He can generate several major stories in one week while the other leading names may wait months for their next large event.

Why Elon Musk Is Our Second-Place Prediction

Elon Musk has more independent search drivers than any candidate except Trump. Tesla, SpaceX, X, Neuralink, the Boring Company, politics, stock movements and his personal wealth all attract different audiences.

Business Insider's coverage of Musk's latest interview adds another round of searches about his companies, political involvement and long-term plans. Additional SpaceX launches, Tesla announcements, Neuralink developments or a public dispute can move his name quickly.

He lacks one guaranteed mass-audience event on the scale of the midterms or Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance. His advantage is that several unrelated developments can break at any time. That makes Musk more unpredictable, but it also gives him a better path than his current 5% market price suggests.

Taylor Swift Remains the Biggest Surprise-Announcement Threat

Taylor Swift maintains a large search base through music, streaming, fan theories, personal-life coverage, awards and speculation about future projects. Our Ahrefs research places her second among these five names in estimated monthly U.S. search volume.

A major album announcement, another Taylor's Version release, a film update or unexpected public appearance can produce one of the year's largest entertainment spikes. The challenge is that her strongest remaining search events depend on announcements that aren't currently confirmed.

Swift can change this market faster than almost anyone. Without a major release, however, her search interest may remain high without overtaking the daily political attention surrounding Trump.

Erling Haaland Needs Another Major Sports Story

Haaland receives a major boost from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Reuters reports that he is selected for the fan-voted World Cup Dream Team after scoring seven goals and helping Norway reach the quarterfinals.

His club season creates more opportunities through Manchester City matches, scoring records, awards and transfer rumors. ESPN reports on Manchester City's response to comments linking Haaland with Real Madrid, showing how quickly transfer speculation can create international searches.

The problem is timing. The World Cup is his largest confirmed search event of the year, and it is already complete. Haaland likely needs an extraordinary start to the club season, a major award, an injury story or a serious transfer development to finish first.

Other Names Remain Far Behind the Leading Five

The broader market includes Savannah Guthrie and Timothée Chalamet near 5%, while Lionel Messi, Billie Eilish, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Sam Altman, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy remain below 1% in the current list.

A sudden political crisis, celebrity announcement, major sports result or unexpected global event can move any of these contracts. Their current prices indicate that traders don't expect them to finish first without a major change in the news cycle.

What Can Change the Market Before December

Bad Bunny needs another major music or entertainment event. Trump has the midterms, foreign policy and a full public schedule. Musk has several companies capable of producing breaking news. Swift can move instantly with a major release. Haaland has the Premier League, Champions League and award season.

The most important factor is whether the final months produce one enormous global spike or reward the person who remains searchable every day.

Our ranking weighs current keyword volume, Google Trends, recurring visibility and known events during the rest of 2026.

5 Erling Haaland Best sports candidate

Readers can follow major releases, celebrity developments and market changes through our Entertainment prediction news coverage during the rest of the year.

Our Prediction for Google's Most Searched Person

We're not convinced that Bad Bunny finishes first. His Super Bowl performance and world tour create enormous interest early in the year, but his confirmed tour is complete and we haven't seen another scheduled event that guarantees the same level of attention during the final months.

Our prediction is Donald Trump. Ahrefs gives him the highest estimated monthly search volume among these five names, and Google Trends places him far ahead in average interest. His public schedule remains full, the midterms are approaching and people around the world continually search for what he says, where he is going and what his administration is doing.

We place Elon Musk second. He is more active across more companies and industries than the other remaining names, and any major Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink, X or Boring Company development can create another large search cycle.

Bad Bunny, Taylor Swift and Erling Haaland can still win. Bad Bunny needs another major music event, Swift needs a major announcement and Haaland needs an exceptional club-season story. Based on the information available today, Trump is our prediction to finish 2026 as the most searched person on Google.

Bad Bunny Leads the Market, but Trump Leads Our Research

The prediction market rewards Bad Bunny's enormous first-half visibility, while our search tools give Donald Trump the clearest numerical advantage. The remaining five months favor people with recurring events, and Trump has more guaranteed opportunities to dominate the news than anyone else on the list.

The market can still change quickly. A surprise album, major company announcement, sports controversy or global political event can create a search spike large enough to reshape the race.

For now, Bad Bunny is the market favorite, but Donald Trump is our prediction.
